About Us, Our Mission and Our Vision

Our mission and vision statements are easy. Our mission is to find gold. Our vision is we find one or more economic gold deposits. We will employ the joint venture model when it makes sense for shareholders.

Western Pacific Resources Corp. is a new gold exploration company with outstanding management and geological teams. Part of the Gold Group of companies, including Fortuna Silver, Iron Creek, Radius Gold and Focus Ventures, Western Pacific has the right people, financing support, and projects in place to make a good start of public life on the Venture exchange (WRP).

Warwick Smith is the company's CEO. Warwick provides the finance (with the help of his key advisors) and drives the promotional efforts. He also has extensive media contacts, helping create shareholder value and market awareness at a lower cost than your average mining company's marketing budget.

Eric Saderholm (Exploration Manager) and Curt Everson (President), are the renowned team heading up the exploration side of the business. With a combined discovery resume of roughly 30 million ounces of gold in North America and beyond, their success speaks volumes about the potential chances of Western Pacific making a major share-moving discovery. Curt was Co-founder and President of Nevada Pacific Gold (U.S.) from 1997 to 2007 when it was acquired by US Gold Corporation. He has also been the Vice President of US Gold, and recently co-founded Sirius Exploration with Eric.

To add to this talent and experience, Eric Saderholm worked for Newmont Mining for 12 years where his final position was Carlin Trend Exploration Manager, Regional Geologist. Eric was also the Chief Geologist at the Phoenix Mine, Lone Tree Complex and Mule Canyon Mine, all located in Nevada. Both Eric and Curt are well known on the Nevada/Idaho mining scene, and our acquisition of Mineral Gulch (formerly Black Pine Mine), is due to their contact base and knowledge of local opportunities in the West, and in particular, Nevada and Idaho.

Mineral Gulch is in the south-eastern corner of Cassia County, Idaho. Historical production amounted to approximately 600,000 ounces of Gold. Pegasus Gold acquired the property from Noranda and produced gold from several small open pits in the late 1980's through the mid-1990's. A picture speaks a thousand words, so please click here to view Mineral Gulch.
